Sewing with Knits: Lola Dress intensive

  • This is an in person workshop, located in Toronto, Ontario.
    Due to site limitations, all prices are processed in USD.

    Class size is limited to three students.

    In this workshop, you will learn how to sew with knits, using a sewing machine, as you make the Lola Sweater dress. This beginner knit pattern features princess seams, raglan seams, curved shaping throughout the garment, and ribbed bands. Learn how to understand and read a sewing pattern along with how to customize the pattern to fit you.

    You will learn:
    - How to lengthen or shorten a pattern
    - How to grade between sizes to customize fit
    - Thinking through garment components and overall assembly of units.
    - Hot to set up various sewing machine stitches to use for sewing with knit.
    - How to sew raglan sleeves
    - How to quadrant edges and attach ribbing
    - How to sew using a twin needle.

    Prerequisite Skills:
    - Knowledge of how to thread and operate a sewing machine.
    - Some experience with using sewing patterns.
    - This is an beginner level garment and is perfect for and advanced beginner or an intermediate level sewer.

    Class Dates: May 4th & 5th: 11 am - 6 pm.
