Introducing the Sloane Overalls & Pants Pattern
I can't tell you how excited I am to be releasing a new pattern today! Make way for the Sloane Overall & Pants pattern.
For my entire teenage and adult life, I've tried to find the perfect pair of overalls that I could fall in love with. You know, that one item of clothing that's like your life partner? Super dependable, throw on when you still want to look good but don't want to think about it kind over overalls; The kind that could be a lone ranger and wear on its own, or look good paired with your other favorite pieces, kind of overalls? Maybe I'm asking for too much, but needless to say, I've never been lucky enough to find them. They're always too boxy and low hanging for my preference.
Nowadays, I'm craving functional, yet still cute pieces, so it was high time I designed a pair of dream overalls! Which leads me to presenting to you, my newest pattern, Sloane!
This style is a cross between overalls and a boiler suit. One of my students best described it as "mechanic-chic." I love this description because it's exactly what I wanted this style to be; Something that has a laid back vibe, that you wear for a night out on the town and just as easily throw on when you want to get your hands dirty.
What's even better is that this pattern also offers you the ability to make a stylish pair of pants.
You've got two essential garments to spruce up your wardrobe and serve as major workhorses for any season!
The overalls feature a fitted bodice with princess seams and adjustable straps. This versatile garment can be worn on its own, or paired with your favourite shirt.
Exchange the bodice for a curved waistband, and you've got yourself a pair of high-rise, tapered pants.
Other design features for these two garments include a tapered leg with centre seams along the front and back that lengthen the silhouette. Front and back patch pocket gives a low-key vibe, and an exposed zipper adds a touch of contrast.
An optional tummy stay can be sewn into either version for added additional control. Optional topstitching can be sewn along the seams to make them pop!
Sloane is available now in PDF format. I hope this patterns works its way beautiful into your wardrobe!

We've wanted to print this pattern back to the print shop for the longest time, and we're so happy that it's finally here. Lola was one of the first patterns we ever released, and it has consistently been one of our most popular patterns. It's the easiest, coziest dress to wear, all while not sacrificing on style.
