Our New Size Range
I'm excited to finally announce that our first pattern with our new size range is on its way; The Sofia pattern is being released this Wednesday! Before it's release, I wanted to create a post to reference our new sizing information when you need it.

New Pattern Release: Introducing the Ulysses Trench Jacket!
I'm so excited to present the Ulysses pattern today! I've had this style in my sketchbook for a few years now, and it's become an essential in my closet, so I'm thrilled that it's finally here
Introducing Hannah
If you had any idea how long this pattern has been in the works, you’d be very happy for me today! This pattern has been on a bit of a journey with me and has taught me a LOT! In the early days of her conception, this poor girl, along with my computer, was hijacked by a car washer named Dan, she’s been re-drafted, re-written and made into more muslin’s than I’d care to say. She’s waited patiently while I tended to write a book, she’s trekked to Australia and back, twice. After all of this, I’ve wanted to give up on her a few times, but I just couldn’t because, well, I’m stubborn and I just really love her! She’s taught me patience, perfectionism and the importance of simplicity.
The Making of Boundless Style
I opened my inbox to dreamy email back in 2013 from an acquisitions editor at a publishing company asking if I would be interested in writing a book on sewing techniques and sewing patterns. My immediate reaction was “YESYESYES!” since it was a lofty dream I’d had. After calming down, I told myself I would only do it if I could think of something unique and useful to readers. Then I remembered this idea for a project I had in mind and wanted to explore for some time; I thought it might be just the right thing for this book.
Welcome to Lookbook for Boundless Style
I wanted to share something exciting with you! As you may know, Boundless Style is almost out. Just a few more weeks to go! But I wanted to give you a bit of a sneak peek into what this book is all about so you can get your imagination going and plan some fun projects for the Fall. So, let me tell you! Boundless Style is a mix and match pattern book that gives you five bodice, five skirt and five sleeve patterns that you can combine any way you like to create your own design.
A special new project
I've had my head tucked deep down under piles and piles of fabric, working away on the pretty big project that I have to keep mostly under wraps for now. I leaked a little secret a while ago on Instagram that I'm working on a book. I figured it's about time I mention it properly here so that you know why I've been M.I.A. While I can't say more at the moment about what the book is all about, I wanted to share as much as I can up to this point
Melbourne magic
I hopped over to Melbourne recently for the most amazing weekend with some lovely ladies from blog land. This was a whirlwind trip, as Simon (who was surprisingly happy to join in on all the sew-ist activities) and I ran around town over a weekend, catching up with sewing peeps and trying to soak in as much as possible that this incredible city has to offer: Food, street art, coffee, galleries, did I say food?
The secret's out: Victory Patterns now in Print
I've had to use all my strength I could muster to restrain from announcing this properly over the past few months, although I don't think I did a very good job, because I had to leak the secret here and there.
But here's the BIG NEWS...

Oliver & S + Victory Patterns
The lovely Liesl and Todd behind Oliver + S are hosting my patterns on their site, amongst a selection of other wonderful indie pattern designers. I feel privileged to have been invited to join them. They asked me to talk a bit about my background and the pattern line, so if you're interested, here's a link to their post.
Happy Birthday to us!
Today marks the first birthday of Victory Patterns! Yaaay!!!! This time last year I had been sitting on a couch with my super amazing brother for about two solid weeks with numb bums while we worked on building the website, eating the weirdest food, listening to comedy radio, pulling all-nighters until it was born into the world. That was one of the best feelings ever!
A day in my life
I was so happy to be asked to take part in Tilly's awesome "Day In The Life" blog feature. If you wanted a little peek into my days at the studio and the see the coolest parrot ever, you can head over to her blog.
